Chicago Training Center, using the sport of competitive rowing, creates opportunities for underserved Chicago youth to challenge themselves to achieve their athletic and academic potential. The CTC’s nurturing environment motivates students to become physically fit, to build teamwork, self-esteem and leadership skills, as well as develop and advance their educational and life goals.
Lagunitas Brewing Company is opening their TapRoom to friends of CTC (You!) Net proceeds from beer sales will benefit CTC programming and the kids we serve. So, come thirsty.
Entry is a $20 suggested donation. Register in advance to guarantee your spot and get your very own CTC T-shirt. And, if you can't make it, feel free to make a donation anyway.
CTC's Power 10 Year
In rowing, “Power 10” is a call for a crew to muscle special effort, ten of their most powerful strokes. What’s more, it’s a strategic move to reset and unite individual efforts to achieve a shared goal.
As we celebrate our 10th anniversary and await the opening of a new boathouse on the Chicago River, the Chicago Training Center (CTC) is calling on our community for a Power 10. We ask you to help us muster special commitment as we celebrate our crew and campaign to drive them further, faster.
